- Premium reference beam optics — VIS and UV-VIS models
- The XD 7000 (VIS, 320–1100 nm) and XD 7500 (UV-VIS, 190–1100 nm) are high-performance benchtop spectrophotometers with a grid monochromator and reference beam splitter after the exit slit. Both deliver photometric accuracy of 0.003 Abs below 0.6 Abs, with drift of less than 0.005 Abs per hour.
- Automatic test and cuvette recognition via built-in barcode reader
- Each of the more than 150 pre-programmed Lovibond® methods is automatically recognised by the internal barcode reader — simply scan the reagent packaging and the correct method loads instantly. The instrument also automatically detects the cuvette type (round 13, 16, 24 mm; rectangular 10, 20, 50 mm) eliminating manual selection errors.
- Comprehensive analytical quality assurance and GLP support
- Standard procedures for analytical quality assurance (AQA) support photometer verification, overall system verification including chemical methodology, and matrix effect checks. The instruments also support Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) with password-protected user levels (guest, user, admin), internal data storage of approximately 5,000 datasets with auto-save, and LIMS-compatible ASCII/CSV export.

- From chlorine, COD, BOD, ammonia, nitrate and phosphate through to iron, manganese, heavy metals, turbidity, TOC, TN and many more — the XD series covers virtually every routine water analysis parameter. User-defined methods can also be created. The full method list is provided in the datasheet.

- Ethernet, USB-B, USB-A (external memory), keypad, barcode scanner port and PCL-compatible printer interface provide comprehensive connectivity for data management and LIMS integration. The XD 7000 and XD 7500 are compatible with the full range of Lovibond® bar-coded reagent tubes, powder packs, liquid reagents and tablet reagents.
